The company is led by Brooklyn-born David J. Louie, a Vietnam veteran and community leader, who started the insurance agency in 1976. Today Chinatown-based DJL represents numerous strong insurance companies and employs over 30 people serving more than 400 retail producers and 2500 direct personal and commercial clients in the northeast and California.
